Ingredients:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 3 Tbsp avocado oil (or olive oil) and extra for when cooking tortillas
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 2/3 cup warm water
- In a bowl, add the flour, oil and salt. Mix.
- While stirring, slowly add the warm water until combined making the dough (add extra water if needed).
- Place dough on clean counter top and knead for about 2-3 minutes (keep bowl off to the side).
- Put dough back into the bowl, cover with a towel or plastic wrap, and let rest for 20 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal balls. Roll each ball out into a flat circle (try to make it thin).
- Heat a pan (big enough for the flat tortilla to fit) over medium-high heat.
- Lightly oil the pan, place one tortilla into the pan and let cook for about 1 minute, or until bubbles form.
- Flip over and let cook another minute. Flatten with spatula if needed. Repeat until you have cooked all the tortillas.
- Use immediately or store in fridge or freezer. Enjoy!
