Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups quinoa, cooked
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1/8 tsp ground ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 9 oz ground beef
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp tamari or soy sauce
- ½ Tbsp sesame oil
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes, or more if you like spicy
- Sea salt and pepper
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- Heat olive oil in a large pan. Add garlic and ginger, cook for about 1 minute stirring constantly. Add ground beef and brown completely. Drain fat.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, tamari (or soy sauce), red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.
- Add the soy sauce mixture to the ground beef and cook for 3-5 minutes to allow the flavors to set.
- Turn off heat, add sesame oil and gently stir to combine.
- Serve beef over quinoa, top with green onion.
