Ingredients:
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 3 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 Tbsp onion, chopped
- 3/4 cup vegetable or chicken broth
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
- Sea salt and black pepper
- In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add onions & mushrooms and cook until tender, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Add in broth, onion powder, and garlic powder and bring to a simmer.
- In a small bowl, whisk together milk and flour.
- Add milk mixture and cook until soup has thickened, about 1 minute.
- Season to taste with sea salt and pepper.
- Optional - blend with an immersion blender
