With these tips, tunes, and recipes, you can thrive all season long!

4 tips on how to have a happy and healthy summer.

1. Get outside and get moving!

Warmer weather is here and there’s nothing better than spending time outdoors. Whether you’re taking a short walk or enjoying more rigorous exercise like hiking or biking, it’s important to get outside early and often.

You can improve your weight loss journey by including regular activity in your daily routine.

2. Take advantage of summer fruits and vegetables

Adding healthy and delicious whole foods to your diet can do wonders for weight loss. During the summer, there are so many great fruits and veggies in season that you should take advantage of.

Not only will seasonal items likely be listed at a reasonable price, but they’ll also be the freshest. If you have a large freezer at home, you can buy what’s in season and freeze it for later.

3. Stay hydrated

Staying hydrated throughout the day can have tremendous health benefits. Drinking water can aid digestion and may boost your metabolism.

It’s important to stay hydrated during summer, especially if you’re spending time outdoors in the heat. Be sure to drink plenty of fluids. If you want to add a little extra flavor to your water, try infused water

4. Get plenty of rest

Better weather and more activities planned could make for a packed summer schedule. And that’s great. But if you’re staying more busy than usual, make sure to get plenty of rest. There are lots of ways a good night's sleep can benefit your health. So plan ahead, listen to your body, and make sure you’re practicing healthy sleep habits.
