Dates as a Sugar Substitute
People are always on the hunt for a “healthy” sweetener. No such thing, right? Well, what if we told you that you could make a sweetener out of fruit? We’re talking about Raw Date Syrup! It’s also super easy to make!
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup pitted dates (any kind)
- Pour the water into a bowl and add the dates
- Cover and leave in refrigerator for at least 24 hours, stirring it throughout the process
- The dates will dissolve into the water and turn into a syrup that can replace any type of syrup or liquid sweetener! You can even add a tsp. of vanilla, cinnamon or ginger if you want to change the flavor.
